German auto-parts major Bosch today said it has started a new manufacturing facility for its power tools division at Oragadam near here.
Spread across a two acre land, the facility would manufacture products for Power Tools business division, the company said in a statement.
"This plant will cater mainly to the requirements in India with a small share of exports to Asia, the Middle East and Africa", Bosch Managing Director Steffen Berns said.
The unit would enable the company to "innovate" and produce high quality products at "competitive cost" to meet region-specific demands for the customers, he said.
