Bosch to suspend production at Bangalore plant for a day

Auto component maker Bosch Ltd plans to suspend manufacturing activities of diesel system products at its Bangalore facility for a day on May 2 to adjust production with the market demand.

With a view to adjust production to meet the demand for products and to avoid unnecessary buildup of inventory, it is proposed to suspend manufacturing activities of diesel system products, power tools, automotive workshop equipment at Bangalore plant on May 2, Bosch Ltd said in a filing to BSE.

Other manufacturing operations related to glow plug manufacturing and common rail components manufacturing and machine building shops will work normally, it added.
 

"There is no financial impact on account of this suspension for a day," the company said.

Bosch shares today closed at 22,506.20 on the BSE, up 4.14 per cent from previous close.
