Bose Corporation to build manufacturing facility in Malaysia

Bryan Fontaine, the vice president manufacturing and global supply chain of the company, said the facility, to be located at Batu Kawan in Penang state, would cater to its Asia-Pacific (APAC) business.

The new facility, to open mid-2013, will manufacture and distribute Bose products for the company's APAC business which includes Australia, China, India, Japan, the UAE and the Asean countries.

The Massachusetts-based company makes high-end loudspeakers, automotive sound systems, amplifiers and headphones.
