Both Houses of Bihar Legislature condole Pak terror attack

Both Houses of Bihar Legislature today condoled the death of Pakistan terror attack victims, 132 among whom were children.

On the opening day of the week-long winter session, members in Legislative Assembly as well Legislative Council condoled the deaths of children by observing silence.

In Legislative Assembly, Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary read a written text on the incident in Army school in Peshawar on December 16.

Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and Leader of Opposition Nand Kishore Yadav stood in silence with other members paying homage to children and others killed in terrorists attack.

"We strongly condemn the terrorists attack. We are shocked by untimely death of children," the condolence message of the House read.
 

Condolence was also expressed in Legislative Council by the members.

Chairman Awdesh Narain Singh read the condolence text after which members stood in silence to pay respect to children killed in the attack in Peshawar on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar strongly condemned the dastardly attack at school in Peshawar and asked the world to unite against terrorism.

"What was the fault of innocent children that they were murdered brutally by terrorists. Time has come for the world to stand together on the question of terrorism," Kumar, who is presently member of Bihar Legislative Council, told reporters after the session.
