A four-year-old boy kidnapped from south Delhi's Sangam Vihar area was rescued and the kidnapper arrested on Saturday, police said.
Police identified the accused as Kamal Kishore and rescued the child from Tigri area, a day after he was kidnapped.
The child's father, Rajesh Kumar, had filed a complaint that his son was missing from outside his resident, where he was playing, since 5pm on Friday, a senior police officer said.
During investigation, police analysed footage of over 60 CCTV cameras in Sangam Vihar area. They found a man had taken the child towards Devli Village, the officer said.
A police team reached the area and showed photographs of the child and the suspect to the public. A local, identified as Deep Chand, told the officials that Kishore, the suspect, is his maternal uncle, police said.
Chand said his uncle had brought the child on Friday to his house and claimed he had adopted him. He said his uncle told him he wanted to take the kid to his native place in Rajasthan, they said.
Kishore then took the child to a house in Tigri area from where he was nabbed and the child was rescued, they added.
