According to Medak town police, the boy has been studying in 'Minhaj-ul-uloom' religious school for the past three years and had earlier made several attempts to run away from the madrassa, as he was not a quick learner and had a stammering problem.

The police said that the madrassa management had chained the boy a few days ago to prevent him from escaping. Nonetheless, he managed to escape by jumping from the compound wall of the madrassa yesterday and landed at a judge's house, who informed the police about the matter.

The boy, with his legs tied with a chain, was rescued by the police, which later booked a case under IPC sections and Juvenile Justice Act against the madrassa management.

Police also took into custody two teachers of the madrassa in this connection but they were later released.
