A 12-year-boy was found dead with bullet wounds at Gaikwadpada in Ambernath in the district, police said today.
Pratik Gaikwad had gone to attend naming ceremony in his neighbourhood last night and proceeded to sleep in the house of one of his relatives.
However, his parents received message in morning that Pratik was rushed to Ulhasnagar hospital, where they found him dead with bullet wounds on his body, according to police.
Pratik's father has named four persons as suspects in the FIR.
Police have registered a case of murder and other charges under various sections of IPC and Arms Act.
Three suspects have been taken into custody, police said, adding further investigation is on.
