Boy killed in hit-and-run case near Akshardham

An 11-year-old boy was killed when an unidentified vehicle, which witnesses claimed was a BMW car, hit him tonight near Akshardham temple, police said.

The victim has been identified as Premnarayan, whose family had relocated due to rise in water levels in the Yamuna.

The vehicle hit him and fled the scene.

The boy was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said, adding that a hunt is on to nab the driver.
