A 17-year-old boy, who allegedly found a man in compromising position with his mother, murdered him in a fit of rage, in south east Delhi's Jamia Nagar area, police said today.

The juvenile, who was apprehended late last night, told police that he had seen Feroz Khan in a compromising position with his mother when he returned home around 10 pm, a police officer said.

In a fit of rage, the juvenile banged Khan's head on the wall, which made him unconscious, and then strangulated him to death. "His mother did not try to intervene in all this. The mother-son duo then wrapped the body in a bed-sheet. The boy then hired a rickshaw to dispose the body in a nearby river," the officer said.

Around 2 am, as he was taking the body in a ricksaw, locals asked him what he was carrying. He tried to bluff them by saying that he was carrying garbage. But when they checked, they were shocked to see a body wrapped in bed-sheet and immediately informed police.

The boy's mother, who is a divorcee, was arrested after he confessed to the crime, the officer said, adding that a case of murder was registered at Jamia Nagar police station.

35-year-old Feroz Khan was a resident of Shaheen Bagh and was a taxi driver.

Police also detained the rickshaw owner, but let him off after he said that he was not aware about the body. His rickshaw has been impounded.
