Body of a ten-year-old mentally- challenged boy was found from a water tank located on the premises of Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar today, police said.
"Raju Gordhan Solanki was found dead in the water tank located near VIP parking area on the premises of Mahatma Mandir," said assistant sub-inspector Kanabhai Bhurabhai.
Solanki had been missing since January 27 and his father Gordhan Solanki registered a complaint with Gandhinagar police, he said.
Today, some locals spotted his body in the tank and informed police, Bhurabhai said, adding the body has been sent for postmortem.
Mahatma Mandir, located in sector 13, is the venue for many international events, and Pravasi Bhartiya Divas and two Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summits were held there recently.
