Boy shot dead over enmity

A 16-year-old boy was killed

allegedly by four persons over a past enmity, police said today.

Shashank Hardia, who was released on bail last Friday after being arrested for beating up one Rahul Chouhan (24), was roaming in front of his house in Katkatpura area last evening when the four led by Rahul first shot at him and later attacked him with swords and knives killing him on the spot, Raoji Bazar Police Station in-charge, C S Chadaar said today.

Police said that Rahul, a resident of Jagjivanram Nagar, had a dispute with Shashank related to pasting a poster during Ganesh festival.
 

Shashank and his friends allegedly beat up Rahul following which he was arrested and sent to jail.

After his release, Rahul, with an intention to settle scores with Shashank, attacked and killed him.

Police have registered a case against Rahul and his associates Sanjay Chouhan, Kanha and Nitin under relevant sections of the IPC and launched a hunt to nab them.
