Brake pipe cylinder of train bursts; passengers safe

A train accident was averted when the brake pipe cylinder of the New Delhi Duronto Express burst when it was passing through Barakar Junction in West Bengal today.

Eastern Railway spokesman said that the Howrah-bound train was moving slowly while passing through the junction when the brake pipe cylinder gave up.

The incident happened around 6 AM. The train started its journey at 10 AM after the fault was repaired. There were no reports of any injury.
