Over 250 tyres of a branded company were looted by a gang of robbers after taking hostage a guard at Vishwakarma Industrial Area in the wee hours today, police said.
About ten miscreants who came in vehicles first tied up the guard and then loaded the vehicle with 250 tyres of MRF company, the police said.
They did not hurt the guard and fled with the booty, the police said, adding the toll check posts on national highways have been alerted to arrest them.
