An engineer of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KMDC), who has been caught in a bribery case, owns at least eight flats, an inquiry has revealed.
Civic engineer D L Mastud and two others, including a Corporator of KDMC, were arrested last evening by ACB for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh from a woman for not demolishing her illegal shop.
ACB officials today said a raid at Mastud's residence led to recovery of 742 gms of gold and unearthing of details of deposits totalling Rs. 5,69,327 in three banks.

Mastud, Corporator Vidhyadhar Bhoir and Vilas Kadu, a clerk with KDMC - all arrested yesterday - were today produced before a local court which remanded them in police custody till April 21.
