Brick klin worker killed in freak mishap

A 24-year-old man's head got severed after he was caught in the belt of a running brick making machine in a private factory on the city outskirts today, police said.

Ajul Haq, a native a Guwahati in Assam, was filling the brick warp in the machine when his clothes got caught in the belt resulting in severing of his head in the kiln in Chinnathadagam, they said.

The incident happened even as Haq's brother, also a worker of the klin, watched it in horror. He suffered minor injury on his hand as he tried in vain to rescue Haq.
