Punjab government has approved construction of a bridge over river Beas at a cost of Rs 76.83 crore to strengthen road network of Doaba and Majha regions.
The proposed bridge will cross Sultanpur Lodhi-Chohla Sahib Road and ensure smooth flow of traffic between Kapurthala and Tarn Taran districts, PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said today.
He also said the PWD department has conducted a thorough study of feasibility and requirement of bridges on various stretches of roads in the state.
