Brief rain spell brings respite to Delhiites

After a dry spell, the national capital today witnessed scattered rains but there was no respite from humid weather conditions for Delhiites.

Light rains were witnessed in Palam, Najafgarh, Lodhi Road, Pusa and Delhi University areas.

Till 8.30 am, Delhi received 3.2 mm of rains while during the day, 2.1 mm of rains were recorded till 5.30 pm, MeT Department said.

The humidity level oscillated between 24 and 85 per cent.

The day temperature was a notch above normal at 35 degrees Celsius while the minimum was a degree below normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 24.1 degrees Celsius, the Met officials said.
 

Delhi had been witnessing a dry spell as no rains were recorded last week.

The weathermen have predicted a partly cloudy sky tomorrow, with possibility of light rains or thundershowers in some areas.

The maximum and minimum is likely to remain 34 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
