Most of the places in Haryana and Punjab have a brief respite from hot weather conditions as maximum temperature hovered close to normal today, two days after light rains lashed parts of the two states.
Chandigarh today recorded a maximum of 36.6 deg C.
In Haryana, Hisar registered a high of 38 deg C, down one notch against normal while Ambala recorded a high of 37.4 deg C, MeT department report said here.

Amritsar in Punjab recorded a high of 34.2 deg C, two notches below normal limits.
Ludhiana recorded a high of 36.4 deg C, down one degree while Patiala's maximum settled at 37.2 deg C.
Rain or thunder showers are likely to occur at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab over the next two days, according to the MeT Department forecast.
