Under the offer, students flying with the premier British carrier between tomorrow and October 30, 2012, would be allowed to carry an extra piece of luggage weighing up to 23 kg, the airline said in a statement today.

"Students travelling with BA this year will receive exclusive assistance to make their entire experience one of ease and comfort," BA's Regional Commercial Manager (South Asia) Christopher Fordyce said.

The offer is valid for students holding a valid student visa to the UK, Europe, USA or Canada only. The outbound travel must be completed on or before 30 October 2012, originating in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad or Chennai, the statement said.

Besides, BA is also offering discount deals from partners like Matrix, Croma and ICICI. Five lucky students will also have the chance to win an iPad 3, the company said in a statement. To avail the special partner offers, students would need to present their British Airways ticket and student ID card at the respective retail stores.

The airline is also celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in June 2012. Besides functions at Windsor, UK, and Shanghai, a BA Boeing-747 is now also a special emblem to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

British Airways has a worldwide route network that covers more than 150 destinations in 75 countries.
