The British Council, United Kingdom's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations, launched its 401 Great Britain Scholarships worth 1.51 million pounds here.
The scholarship spreads across subjects ranging from Engineering, Law, Business to Arts and Designs and Bio sciences in 57 UK Institutions in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, Director of British Council, West India, Sharon Memis, said here yesterday.
Under Generation UK, a new British Council programme, the Council was expecting arrival of around 25,000 UK students to India over the next five years.
