British High Commissioner meets Mamata

British High Commissioner to India Sir James Bevan today met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and discussed development issues.

"The discussion between the CM and Sir James Bevan included among other things various development issues where the state government can go ahead with British cooperation," state Finance Minister Amit Mitra said.

Mitra was present in the meeting.

Bevan, who was accompanied by British Deputy High Commissioner (Eastern India) Sanjay Wadvani, also told the chief minister about how they could help the state government in its various development projects including city planning, Mitra said.
