Phone maker Britzo today said it expects Rs 1,500 crore in revenues this fiscal from its handset and television business in the country.
The company, which launched its phone brand iVVO in the country, said its handset portfolio will include feature phones, 4G feature phones and smartphones.
"In our first year, we are looking at revenues of Rs 1,500 crore. Of this, Rs 1,000 crore will be from our phone business. The remaining will be from the LED TV business that we will start around June-July," Britzo CEO and co-founder Pradipto Ganguly told PTI.
He added that the company has partnered Optiemus for manufacturing its devices in the country at the latter's facility in Noida.
"We are working on setting up our own plant as well but it is still very early to talk about it," he said.
Ganguly said the company has rolled out seven feature phones, along with one 4G feature phone and two smartphones.
These will be priced between Rs 649 to Rs 5,999 and extend features like multi-lingual support, feature phone-based WhatsApp and Wi-Fi tethering etc aimed at masses in tier III cities and beyond. These phones will be available through over 20,000 retailers.
