Taking exception to damages caused to Pumgrung-Kush village defence road in Kurung Kumey disrrict on November 28 last, the Broader Roads Organization (BRO) today directed the officials in-charge of the road to repair it immediately.
The direction came when Zilla Parishad district chairperson Sangha Tagik, Damin ZPM Lokam Pabi and youth leader Phassang Bunghi called on BRO's Arunanak CE in-chage S K Tripathi and 756 BRTF commander J Rajkumar at the headquarters here to lodge complaint as to how the road was damaged because of political infighting.
The damages caused to two bridges, felling of large trees, parking of vehicles and staking huge boulders to block the road were highly objectionable, the duo said as the Centre has directed to expedite all roads under its jurisdiction in Arunachal Pradesh, including Sarli-Huri-Damin and all defence roads on top priority, Tagik told PTI.
