Director General of Border Roads Organisation Lt Gen Suresh Sharma today visited the western border areas of Rajasthan to review the progress of roads being constructed by the organisation.
The officer visited the Headquarters 45 of BRO Task Force in Jodhpur and border areas of Barmer and Jaisalmer districts between December 5 and December 7, a defence spokesperson said here.
"He met the local Military Formation Commanders in the desert area. They appreciated the work being done by the BRO," the spokesperson said.
The DG took stock of road infrastructure and urged BRO personnel engaged in construction projects, mainly in border areas, across the country to rededicate themselves to their task to bring socio-economic development in remote areas.
He stressed on good maintenance of roads and high construction standards.
