Bryan Cranston to star in Philip K Dick drama series

Actor Bryan Cranston is set to star in an original drama series based on the short stories written by award-winning sci-fi novelist Philip K Dick.

The 10-part anthology series title d"Electric Dreams: The World of Philip K Dick," will be written and executive produced by Emmy-nominated Ronald D Moore," said The Hollywood Reporter.

Cranston, 60, and Michael Dinner will both be executive producing and appearing in the series.

"This is an electric dream come true. We are so thrilled to be able to explore and expand upon the evergreen themes found in the incredible work of this literary master," said Cranston.
 

Each episode will be a standalone drama and will illustrate the novelist's popular works like "The Man in the High Castle," "A Scanner Darkly" and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?".

The drama will premiere on Channel 4 and will be distributed internationally by Sony Pictures Television.
