Bihar State Commission for Women (BSCW) chairperson Anjum Ara today alleged that some policemen misbehaved with her when she went to the Gardanibagh police station last night.
Ara had gone to Gardanibagh police station with her family members after she got information that a brand new motorcycle stolen from her house had been found.
"We were eager to get back the motorcycle, so we went to the police station at around 10.30 pm last night and requested the personnel to release it. I had gone there as a common person, without identifying myself to them," Ara said.

"The Station House Officer got angry and started shouting at us. He did not even bother that he was talking to a woman. He threatened us that he will release the vehicle whenever he wants," Ara added.
Peeved at the rude behaviour, the BSCW chairperson complained to the senior officials about the incident, who then dispatched City SP Satyaveer Singh.
"I went to the police station and got the motorcycle released immediately... We are taking the matter seriously," Singh said.
Meanwhile Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jitendra Rana said he has asked the City SP to probe the entire incident and submit a report.
"Right now I cannot say anything about what actually transpired. I have asked the City SP to probe the entire matter and submit a report. We will take action accordingly," Rana added.
