The BSE Option Index clocked turnover of Rs 1,25,917 crore in the current month so far, the stock exchange said today.
BSE Option Index reported very high trading the last two days. The figure for January till now stood at Rs 1,25,917.38 crore today, BSE said in a statement.
This translates into 52.62 per cent market share for BSE in the segment. A total of 109 broker-members took part in the trading, BSE said.

"BSE has seen increase in participation in derivatives market over last few months with more than 5 crore orders per day in derivatives market," BSE Chief Executive and MD Ashishkumar Chauhan said.
"We believe with introduction of equity derivatives on the fastest trading platform in February 2014, we expect to have even more participation in our equity derivatives market."
"Our new trading system provides response time of 200 micro seconds and is capable of handling 5,00,000 orders per second," Chauhan said.
