Leading stock exchange BSE said it received 284 complaints against 230 companies in September this year.
During the period, the stock exchange resolved 199 complaints against 155 listed companies, BSE said in a notice.
The resolved complaints include those brought forward from earlier months.

Complaints made against the firms include non-receipt of money and equity shares in demat as well as physical form, non-receipt of debt securities, corporate benefits, entitlements and interest, the exchange said.
Of the total complaints received, 276 were against active companies while 8 were against suspended firms.
Of the total complaints resolved, 197 were against active companies while 2 were against suspended firms.
Vatsa Corporation, with 1,080 complaints, had the highest number of complaints pending against it as of September 30.
Other companies with pending investor complaints include Montari Industries (60), Arihant Industries (56), Enkay Texfoods Industries (53), Montari Leather (50), Mukerian Papers (44), Pentafour Products(39), Lan Eseda Industries (28) Geodesic Ltd (27) and Soundcraft Industries (24).
