Press Trust of India New Delhi
To check excessive volatility, BSE today revised the circuit limit for share movement of Vista Pharmaceuticals and five other scrips.

The new limits, effective March 7, will ensure stock prices do not fluctuate beyond a prescribed level in a session.

In a circular, the exchange said it has set a circuit limit of 10 per cent for Vista Pharmaceuticals.

The exchange has also set a limit of 10 per cent for Vitan Agro Industries. It has fixed a limit of 5 per cent for Bella Casa Fashion & Retail, Indian Infotech & Software, Vimal Oil & Foods and Panafic Industrials.

The circuit filters have been changed from their existing levels in the six scrips with effect from March 7.

Stock exchanges use circuit filter mechanism to keep in check excessive volatility in a scrip. Circuit limit is the maximum fluctuation that is allowed in a stock price.
