A senior officer said the woman called the police control room at around 2.16 P.M. Today to complain about her rape.
"The call was made from outside a hotel in Mahipalpur. A police team immediately reached the place where they found the woman caller. She told police she had come to the hotel with Dabas, who had promised her a job," the officer said.
The woman said she was taken to room number 304 at the hotel where Dabas raped her at gunpoint and threatened her with dire consequences if she spoke to anybody about the matter.
"Dabas was arrested from the hotel room at the instance of the woman and a licensed pistol was also recovered from his possession. He, however, pleaded innocence," said the officer.
Police said that the woman and the accused were brought to the Vasant Kunj police station where Dabas was arrested after she filed a case against him.
Initial investigation revealed that the woman met Dabas around five months back through a common contact and he had then befriended her on the pretext of getting her a job.
"On Sunday, she was lured to the hotel on the pretext of a job interview and was raped at gunpoint by Dabas," the officer added.
