BSF has adopted 11 villages in Uttarakhand and has deployed a contingent of its personnel to provide succour for the locals of the rain ravaged state.
The border guarding force has not only created a number of communication infrastructure like bridges and roads, it has also improvised and started a number of civic facilities in flood hit villages of the Kalimath valley.
The Border Security Force (BSF) has adopted the villages of Kalimath, Kaviltha, Kotma, Syansu, Chilond, Kuljhethi, Khenni, Jaltala, Choumasi and Bhuynki which are on the banks of the Kali river.

The force has also deployed a special engineering team in these locations so that breached embankments and broken roads could be repaired for commuting.
The force had also helped in the upkeep and restoration of the Kalimath temple.
Troops of the paramilitary had also donated their one day salary amounting to about Rs 16 crore in solidarity with the victims of the rains tragedy.
