BSF apprehends Pak national on Punjab border

BSF apprehended a Pakistani national at Border Out Post (BOP) in Darya Mansoor in Punjab's Gurdaspur sector while allegedly trying to sneak into Indian territory without any valid document, officials said today.

The BSF authorities contacted Pakistan Rangers today and the Pakistani national, identified as Swaraj, was handed over to them on humanitarian ground, BSF spokesperson said.

Sawaj, a resident of Distt-Narowal in Pakistan inadvertently crossed the International Boundary and entered the Indian territory after which he reached near Border Security fence last night, he said.

Upon interrogation, he revealed of leaving his house due to some family disputes. Nothing objectionable was recovered from his possession, he said.
 

Four Pakistani nationals have crossed the IB since January 2015 and have been handed over to Pakistan Rangers by Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier.
