A high-level delegation led by BSF Director General U K Bansal will travel to Dhaka to meet his Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) counterpart.

The five-day visit, beginning September 25, will comprise officials from the border management division of the Home and the External Affairs Ministries.

The delegation will discuss issues, including illegal crossing overs and migration to Indian side, official sources said.

"The issue of illegal migration is always discussed and it will be an important point of discussion during this meet also," they said.

The BSF will also highlight the increasing menace of fake Indian currency to the BGB during the meeting which will be attended by officials from the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.

A joint record of discussions will be signed in Dhaka on September 29. The last Director General-level talks between the two forces were held in Delhi in March.

Among other issues, the BSF is also expected to raise issues related to cattle smuggling, security of border guarding personnel and identification of sensitive posts along the Indo-Bangla border.
