BSF DG visits Attari-Wagah border

BSF DG has cautioned troops on Attari-Wagah border of threats from forces inimical to India and directed them to perform their duties with high degree of commitment to thwart any ill design.

BSF DG Subhash Joshi, who was on two-day visit to border area, addressed BSF officers and jawans, according to a release issued here today.

The DG briefed the officers about welfare activities and other projects being undertaken in the force for better border management and improvement of infrastructure.

He appreciated their efforts for containing the menace of trans-border smuggling, especially that of heroin, besides other crimes at the border.
 

After listening to their problems and suggestions, he assured them that their problems will be looked into.

Joshi inaugurated a conference hall, gymnasium with modern equipment, library and central police canteen for the troops.
