BSF has decided to donate their one day salary, totalling to about Rs 16 crore for the relief fund of Uttarakhand flood victims.
The force will also adopt five villages of the state and initiate rehabilitation work to the tune of Rs one crore in these locations.
The force will also give a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to each family of state policemen killed in the flash floods and rains, an official statement from the force said.
