BSF organises cultural events at Attari border ahead of I-Day

Ahead of the Independence Day, BSF here today initiated a series of colourful cultural events at the International joint check post at Attari border.

The cultural extravaganza will continue till August 15 for general public who will visit here to watch the Beating Retreat Ceremony. More than 30,000 footfalls are registered here on daily basis.

The BSF has organised an exhibition of sophisticated weapons for the general public. The event would provide a good opportunity for people to know more about the paramilitary force, a BSF release said today.

The event got off to a start with the launch of a blood donation camp. A cycle rally was also organised in which students of Delhi University participated.
 

The three-day mega event will culminate with a fireworks display on Friday after the retreat ceremony.
