BSF recovers 3 gold bars

The BSF today seized three gold bars valued at Rs 21.73 lakh from a person in Bangaon railway station premises in North 24 Parganas district.

Acting of a tip off, BSF men were waiting near the station and detained a person.

During search, three gold bars weighing 764.59 gram were recovered from him, a BSF statement said.

The apprehended person along with the gold bars were handed over to the customs department for further disposal.

With this, BSF's South Bengal Frontier has seized 20.311 kg of gold worth around Rs 5.79 crore, the statement said.
