The five-day 46th Inter-Frontier Platoon Weapons Shooting Championship of BSF will begin tomorrow at Revti range near here.

"Eleven teams will compete for 96 medals in the championship which will be inaugurated by Indore Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey," Border Security Force (BSF) Central School of Weapons and Tactics Inspector General Sunil Kumar Verma told reporters here.

"The championship helps us to find shooters. Through it we got shooters, who excelled in international and national competitions by winning medals and made BSF proud," he said.

The shooters will use different types of firearms for different category events.

Last time, the Gujarat frontier of BSF had been the overall champion, the IG said.

The blueprint of a plan has been prepared to put up electronic scoring system at Revti range for which the government's nod has been sought, he added.
