BSF seize gold biscuits from Bangladesh intruder

The BSF has seized ten gold biscuits valued at Rs 34 lakh from Srimantapur, a border village in Bishramganj district, BSF sources said today.

The gold biscuits were left behind by an intruder from Bangladesh when he was challenged by the BSF yesterday, the sources said.

The intruder, who had entered Indian territory after crossing the barbwire fencing managed to escape back to Bangladesh, they said.

The biscuits each weighing 1.66 kg have a market value of Rs 34 lakh.

Tripura has a 856 km international border with Bangladesh.
