BSF seizes 20 packets of contraband, ammunitions at Wan BOP

The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel today seized 20 packets of contraband, suspected to be heroin, two pistols, two magazines, 17 rounds of ammunition, and two Pakistani mobile phones around Wan Border Out Post (BOP) at Amarkot in Ferozepur sector.

Ferozepur sector BSF DIG R K Thapa said that BSF personnel observed some suspicious movement near border security fence in the wee hours today.

Immediately, they challenged the suspected smugglers and opened fired. But they managed to escape under the cover of darkness, he said.

The area was immediately cordoned off and during the search operation, the BSF recovered the contraband packets and ammunition, Thapa said.
