BSF seizes 50 KGs of ganja on Indo-Bangla border

The BSF today apprehended two Indian nationals from the Indo-Bangla border in Nadia district on whom 50 kgs of cannabis (ganja), wrapped in a plastic cover, and 7,000 bottles of Phensedyl were found.

A statement issued by the BSF said that the persons identified themselves as Rajib Mandal and Shital Biswas.

The apprehended persons, along with the seized items, have been handed over to NCB for further legal action," the statement said.

This year so far, BSF South Bengal Frontier has seized 485.451 KGs of Ganja and arrested six persons in this regard.
