Jaswal further said in today's seizure the smugglers had put the drugs in small cloth bag with a string to throw the consignment to as far a distance as possible to avoid detection by BSF personnel.

Recently, Inspector General BSF Punjab Frontier Anil Paliwal had issued guidelines to strengthen vigil in border area to effectively check the menace of narcotics smuggling and activities of anti national elements on Punjab border with Pakistan, as it is vulnerable for smuggling especially in the view of wheat crops and adverse weather conditions giving cover to such elements.
