Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) activists today staged dharna infront of Phagwara Superintendent of Police's office demanding immediate arrest of accused who had allegedly vandalised two statues of B R Ambedkar here in the last two and half months.
Led by BSP leader Jarnail Nangal, the protesters took out a protest march from Dr B R Ambedkar Park in Hargobindnagar and reached SP's office following which they sat on a dharna for over an hour.
Addressing the protestors, Nangal attributed vandalisation of Ambedkar's statues to the "hidden agenda" of central BJP government.
