Senior Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Baijnath Kushwaha and his supporters joined Congress here today, in the presence of Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh and Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Arun Yadav.

Welcoming Kushwaha into the Congress, Digvijay Singh alleged that in the BSP, party tickets were sold for crores of rupees and Kushwaha's case is an example.

"Kushwaha was allotted the BSP ticket about two months back from Morena, but the BSP's state in-charge Rajaram took crores of rupees from former Congressmen Vrindawan Sikarwar and replaced him (Kushwaha) with Sikarwar. The BSP sells tickets and stopped looking at the poor and the downtrodden," Digvijay Singh alleged.

Congress national secretary Rakesh Kalia and MPCC chief also welcomed Kushwaha on the occasion.
