BSP MLA resigns from party's primary membership

A BSP MLA today resigned from the primary membership of the party, alleging that its chief Mayawati asked him to deposit Rs two crore in the party fund in exchange for a ticket to fight Assembly polls.

The party MLA from Mughalsarai Assembly seat, Babban Singh Chauhan, announced his resignation at a press conference, alleging that Mayawati was selling tickets and running it as a "private limited company".

He alleged that she asked him to deposit Rs two crore in the party fund in exchange for a ticket to fight Assembly polls.

Chauhan said soon his supporters will also resign from the party.
