Raising the issue during Zero Hour, BSP members demanded a debate on the issue through an adjournment motion.
Leader of the Opposition Naseemuddin Siddiqui claimed that Rs 3,233 crore payment of cane farmers was pending.
He said there was a legal provision that if payment was not made within 14 days, then 15 per cent interest was payable.
When he said that farmers were being exploited, Leader of the House Ahmad Hasan said payment of dues to farmers would be ensured.
He said around Rs 3,000 crore dues were of the period when BSP was in power.
Dissatisfied with the reply, BSP members staged a walkout.
