Press Trust of India Guwahati
An estimated 70 per cent voters cast their votes for the 40 constituencies of BTC in four Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) districts today.

Polling ended at 4 pm with an estimated 70 per cent voting though the final percentage can be ascertained only after reports from the far flung areas of the four districts of Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri came in, a spokesman of the election office said here.

Polling for Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) polls was peaceful throughout.

Polling was held amidst tight security arrangements in the four districts following incidents of pre-poll violence in which one person was killed and six others injured in Kokrajhar.
