Buddhist pilgrim from Kashmir commits suicide

Tonjin Namdal, hailing from Leh-Ladakh, arrived here from Bangalore yesterday and was to leave for Bodh Gaya in Bihar this morning, they said .

Employees at the centre grew suspicious after he did not emerge from his room for a long time and broke open the door to find his body hanging from the ceiling.

The Centre, established by the Sri Lanka Maha Bodhi Society, provides free shelter, assistance and guidance to pilgrims who visit Bodh Gaya.
