Uttarakhand BJP today expressed disappointment over the general budget, saying it shows little concern for the common man and the hill states.
"It has come like a blow to the common man. It is a politically inspired budget which shows no sensitivity towards the common man and the Himalayan and northeastern states," Uttarakhand BJP chief Tirath Singh Rawat said in a statement here.
Terming the budget as particularly disappointing for Uttarakhand, he said people of the state were expecting that the industrial package given to it by Vajpayee government will be revived but nothing of the sort happened.
He said the budget should have increased the cap on subsidised LPGs from six to twelve to give relief to people, especially women.
