CPI leader and former Kerala Forest Minister Binoy Viswam today said the union budget was a clear attempt to "hoodwink" voters in the states going to elect their respective assemblies.

"The budget will not bring any good to the people and to the nation. On the other hand, the economy of the country will face lot of difficulties. It is a clear attempt to hoodwink the voters in the states that were now going to elect their respective Assemblies," he told reporters here.

"...The BJP is talking much but is doing nothing," he said.

The CPI leader alleged that the NDA government "is doing injustice and disservice to the youth without meeting their job requirements."

"The left parties will expose the weaknesses of the budget soon," he added.
